King & Country WH089 Dismounted Assault Gun Crew No. 1: A Sling and a Cup After the Action

The people outside the armoured shell

Vehicle crews can disappear into hatches in a display. Dismounted figures bring their clothing, posture and circumstances into view.

That makes WH089 an effective companion for an assault gun while also allowing it to stand on its own as a small casualty-and-rest scene.

Compare the next crew group

WH090 provides three different crewmen preparing near a vehicle. WH089 is this particular two-man pause, with the sling as its strongest identifying feature.

The WH catalog overview connects both with the broader range of support, combat and casualty subjects.

Why the original pair matters

A loose coffee-drinking figure can be hard to place among the range’s many resting soldiers. A clear reference image of both men preserves the intended combination.

WH089 belongs because it changes how an armoured collection can be read: the vehicle’s crew are people who can be wounded, tired and momentarily occupied with an ordinary task. Keep the cup, sling and supporting accessories visible when documenting the set.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WH089 product record lists a release date of January 2018 and a retirement date of November 2024. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
