The Operation ToyBox catalog · WH080

WH080 plants the soldier’s feet apart and brings a rifle across the upper body. The orange-brown rubble beneath him gives the standing pose a different setting from a plain grassy base.

The rifle is part of the identification

The archived description names the Karabiner 98, and the reference photograph shows the long weapon held at the shoulder. The soldier’s helmet and field equipment complete the infantry subject.

The base suggests broken ground, but it does not identify a particular ruined town. Its appearance is a model detail, not a documented location.

A useful comparison with WH043

The earlier standing rifleman offers the same broad activity in a different sculpt. Comparing the feet, arm position and base helps distinguish the releases more reliably than their similar titles.

That is the value of an image-led catalog: it records the differences that a short seller description may leave out.

One activity in a wider infantry group

The surrounding WH075–WH081 releases include waiting, specialist weapons and a grenade-throwing pose. WH080 adds a standing rifleman to that varied sequence.

The WH history page supplies the broader military context. The individual figure remains anonymous, without a named unit established by the available product record.

Why the whole profile should be preserved

A side or three-quarter view reveals the rifle, stance and carried equipment together. A close crop of the face can miss much of what identifies the sculpt.

WH080 deserves a separate reference entry because common infantry subjects are easy to confuse. The full code keeps this particular standing pose attached to its own photograph and release history.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WH080 product record lists a release date of December 2017 and a retirement date of November 2021. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
