King & Country WH059 German Military Policeman: The Traffic Paddle at the Road Junction

A specialist role in one figure

The archived description identifies a German military policeman on traffic duty. In the saved photograph, the paddle and the gorget at his chest help separate him from an ordinary standing infantryman.

The old collecting nickname “chained dog” refers to the military-police association; the useful catalog description remains the actual role and visible equipment.

Let the signal face the scene

The raised hand and paddle should remain visible from the main viewing angle. Placing the man beside a road edge, rather than directly behind a tall vehicle, lets the viewer understand the activity.

A single truck or small group of passing soldiers is enough to create an interaction. More vehicles are not required for the figure to make sense.

Why a support figure belongs in the catalog

The WH historical overview includes the army’s wider organization and context. WH059 contributes a specific road-control role within that collection.

For identification, retain the code with a clear image of the paddle, chest insignia and raised arm. Those details distinguish it from other German police and command figures in the broader King & Country catalog.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WH059 product record lists a release date of September 2016. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
