The Operation ToyBox catalog · WH018-G

WH018-G offers the dismounted crew pair in field-grey jackets. The sitting and standing poses create a conversation-sized scene, while the lighter clothing changes how the figures read beside a dark vehicle.

What G means in this release

The manufacturer’s description distinguishes WH018-G’s “feldgrau” jackets from the black jackets of WH018-B. These are parallel versions of the two-figure subject, not different ranks or a change in the number of men.

That is a useful correction to keep in a collection record. The base code alone leaves out the defining choice.

Let the seated man remain visible

The reference photo shows one crewman sitting low and the other standing near his equipment. A tank can easily hide the lower figure if the pair is pushed too close to its side.

Give the men a patch of open ground and let the vehicle form a background. The difference in height then creates the interaction instead of becoming a problem of visibility.

Clothing changes the comparison

A field-grey jacket brings a different tonal relationship to the greenish trousers and surrounding equipment. Collectors comparing the B and G releases can see how a paint treatment changes the same basic subject.

The historical setting of the force represented is covered in the WH series catalog. These representative figures add crew life to that overview without claiming an exact unit or named individual.

A small release with a precise identity

WH018-G is useful for displays that need people beside the armour rather than more crew emerging from hatches. It also deserves documentation as an intentional uniform variant.

When examining a secondhand offer, compare the jacket colour on both men and the small accompanying items with the reference photograph. Mixed groups and incomplete short titles can blur a distinction that was clear in the original release.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WH018-G product record lists April 2015 as the release date and March 2016 as the retirement date. Those are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
