The Operation ToyBox catalog · WH015

The white gloves are the first detail that catches the eye on WH015. Against the officer’s field-grey clothing, they emphasize the moving arms and give this marching figure a different character from a soldier trudging along a field road.

A formal movement in miniature

The reference photograph shows a helmeted officer stepping forward on a rectangular base. The uniform, belt and upright posture remain clearly visible because the figure is not carrying a rifle across his chest.

The archived title is simply “Marching Officer.” It does not identify a particular parade or individual. That leaves the pose useful without requiring a biography or an invented date for the scene.

Compare the neighbouring formal poses

WH014 stands at attention, WH015 supplies an officer in motion, and WH016 represents a marching rifleman. Looking at them together reveals a small vocabulary of posture: stillness, leadership and repeated movement.

They remain separate releases. A seller’s group photograph may combine them attractively, but the catalog codes are what preserve the distinction between each purchase.

Order is a subject of its own

Formal military poses can show the public presentation of an army. They should be read within the wider history of the force represented, which the WH series overview discusses alongside the catalog.

For display, an uncluttered surface suits the deliberate posture. A narrow line of figures can suggest movement while keeping the officer’s lighter gloves visible at its edge.

Why the single officer belongs

A collection does not need every figure to perform an elaborate action. WH015 supplies a clear formal role and a useful visual contrast with ordinary marching soldiers. Compare the arm positions and uniform details carefully when identifying a loose example; “German officer” alone is a much broader description than this particular release.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WH015 product record lists April 2015 as the release date. Those are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
