RTA131 shows a soldier using his ramrod, giving the reloading group a distinct vertical action. The release description relates the pose to seating the charge in a muzzle-loading musket and returning the rod after use.
RTA130 depicts a Mexican soldier biting open a paper cartridge. The pose focuses attention on one small part of muzzle-loading practice and helps distinguish the figure from soldiers firing or using a ramrod.
RTA129 captures the next stage after a musket shot: the soldier reaches for another cartridge. The loading action makes the figure particularly useful beside the separately numbered cartridge-biting and ramrod subjects.
RTA128 presents a soldier shouting as he runs toward the Alamo’s walls. The open, communicative action gives this release a different role from figures concentrating on aiming or loading a musket.
RTA126 is Marching to Battle Set B, another pair of Mexican infantrymen intended to accompany Set A. Its role is to broaden the marching group, while the separate product number remains important for identification and completeness.
RTA125, Marching to Battle Set A, contains a pair of Mexican soldiers moving toward the Alamo in the release description. The two-figure composition matters when comparing prices and checking a loose group: a single matching soldier is not the complete pair.
RTA124 portrays a Mexican infantryman advancing in a crouch. The release description emphasizes avoiding enemy fire while moving forward, which distinguishes this pose from the upright marching and charging subjects in the same range.
RTA087 depicts a standing, firing member of the New Orleans Greys. The release’s unit description and standing firing pose are the key points to retain when distinguishing it from other Alamo figures. Do not substitute a visually similar kneeling defender solely because the clothing looks comparable.
RTA086 shows a young Tejano firing a musket with a bandanna covering his head, according to the release description. The head covering and firing action provide clearer identifiers than the general phrase Alamo defender. It is a distinct subject within a range containing several differently posed riflemen.
RTA055 represents Joe, the enslaved man associated with William Barret Travis who survived the Alamo battle. His experience deserves to be presented in its own right rather than treating him as an unnamed accessory to a commander. The miniature is a representation of a historical individual, not visual evidence for his exact appearance.
