RTA137 depicts a Mexican infantryman pointing out a defender’s position. The gesture adds communication to a group otherwise occupied with firing, marching or reloading, and gives the figure a purpose beyond simply filling a rank.
RTA136 shows a Mexican infantryman aiming upward toward the defenders’ higher positions in the manufacturer’s account. The standing pose and elevated musket make the figure different from a soldier firing across level ground.
RTA138 represents a Mexican flagbearer, described as a young officer holding the national flag. The flag supplies the release’s defining shape and makes it a natural point of attention among the infantry subjects.
RTA139 depicts a Mexican drummer advancing with the regiment. The release description identifies reversed uniform colors, making the drummer’s clothing and instrument useful points of contrast with the surrounding infantry.
RTA140 is catalogued as a kneeling Mexican soldier firing to the front. The title supplies the essential distinction: a level, forward firing action rather than the upward aim of RTA141. The available product record gives little further descriptive detail.
RTA141 is a kneeling Mexican soldier aiming his musket upward. The product description connects that direction with defenders occupying higher positions, making the angle of the weapon an important part of the figure’s intended use.
RTA142 depicts a Mexican infantryman firing as his shako is knocked from his head, according to the release description. That narrative detail distinguishes the release from the standing and kneeling firing subjects elsewhere in the range.
RTA152 is the Backwoods Rifleman, presented in the release description as one of the Alamo’s defenders from Tennessee. The product gives collectors a frontier subject distinct from the more uniform appearance of the Mexican infantry releases.
RTA134 shows a Mexican infantryman advancing with musket and bayonet directed forward. The release description adds a shouting expression, making the upper body and weapon direction the central identifiers.
RTA133 represents a Mexican soldier rushing forward with musket and bayonet held at high port. That weapon position creates a different outline from an advancing figure with a bayonet directed straight ahead.
