The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS372
The machine gun is only part of WS372’s story. Two men lie low around it, creating a wider ground-level composition than a single prone rifleman.

The pair is the release
King & Country identifies an MG42 team. The reference shows the gunner aligned behind the weapon, with his companion positioned nearby rather than another independent machine gun beside him.
The bipod, long barrel assembly and ammunition-side details distinguish the central equipment. A slightly elevated view makes the working relationship between the two figures easier to see.
The uniforms make the men distinct
One figure combines a patterned jacket with plain trousers, while the other has a green-toned upper garment and patterned trousers. The mix prevents the prone bodies from merging into an identical pair.
The different clothing treatment is also useful when checking completeness. Two unrelated figures lying near an MG42 would not necessarily be the original WS372 group.
A low focal point for the HJSS range
The manufacturer places the team within its Normandy infantry subjects. Its short narrative imagines an approaching enemy, but the model does not identify a named action or crew.
The prone arrangement can provide a lower level beside kneeling and advancing releases. A wall or tall foreground figure should not hide the gun and both faces if the team is to remain the focus.
WS368 is a separate prone rifleman, not the second member of this set.
WS372 belongs in the catalog as a two-person weapon team with a specific equipment and uniform combination. A complete reference photograph should show both men, the MG42 and its supporting arrangement rather than isolating only the gunner’s head and shoulders.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS372 product record lists a release date of November 2022. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
