The US Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Ordinary Soldiers study identifies Fegelein as an SS cavalry brigade commander and discusses his participation in the 1941 Mogilev conference. It also records his brigade’s mass murder of Jewish civilians.

That history belongs beside the bunker-era subject. The fall of a senior SS figure is not simply an adventure about a man who chose the wrong moment to escape.

Three figures make a complete composition

The chair lowers Fegelein’s head beneath the guards, whose weapons and upright stances frame him. An angled view keeps the seated figure visible instead of hiding him between two backs.
