King & Country WS297 Soldier Sharing Food with a Girl: A Small Interaction Within Occupation

The product narrative describes sharing food

The manufacturer’s title is “The Nice German Soldier,” and its description presents him sharing bread and jam with a child in an occupied country.

That is the intended scene, not evidence about a named individual or a documented encounter. A small act represented in a miniature also cannot establish the character of an occupying army as a whole.

The child changes the soldier’s outline

The girl’s bright dress and elevated position draw attention beside the man’s face. His rifle remains carried behind the shoulder, while the helmet is held low.

The reference contains front and rear views of the same group. It is one soldier and one child, not two separate pairs.

WS297 belongs in the catalog as a specific soldier-and-child scene, with the original title retained for identification and its limits explained. The child is not named, and the description does not locate the encounter in a particular country.

Keep the complete grouping visible in photographs so its contents and gestures remain clear.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS297 product record lists a release date of August 2014 and a retirement date of November 2019. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
