The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS176
The long gun and sloping armor establish WS176 as a Panther before the smaller details come into view. Then the textured surfaces, camouflage and turret number 328 start to distinguish this particular release. Two crew members are specified in the catalog description.

Look beyond the gun barrel
King & Country identifies the tank as an Ausf. A associated with the Hitlerjugend division. The release emphasizes Zimmerit texture and a worn finish. These surfaces catch the light differently from the flatter areas of paint, adding another level of detail to the familiar tank shape.
The road wheels and broad track run fill much of the lower silhouette. A three-quarter view helps show the relationship between the long barrel, turret and hull without compressing everything into one profile.
A Panther is a crewed vehicle
The Tank Museum’s Panther record lists a five-man crew for the real vehicle. The visible miniature crew therefore represents only part of the people needed to operate the tank, not its full real-world complement.
That distinction is useful when discussing a model. Figures emerging from hatches make the vehicle feel occupied, while the historical crew count reminds the viewer of the work taking place inside.
Keep the divisional setting with the model
The 12th SS association belongs in the catalog alongside the variant and markings. Its Normandy service and responsibility for crimes against prisoners are part of the historical setting, even when the immediate collecting interest is armor detail.
I would leave the front quarter of the tank open to show the turret number and long gun, with infantry placed beside rather than directly across the hull. When evaluating an example, compare the crew, barrel, track details and surface finish with the reference. WS176 is most interesting at the point where a recognizable Panther outline resolves into a particular release with its own texture, figures and campaign identity.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS176 product record lists a release date of August 2010 and a retirement date of August 2013. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
