The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS173
WS173 pairs a pointing officer in a peaked cap with a helmeted NCO listening beside him. The extended arm draws a clear line out of the scene, while the second figure’s upward attention brings the conversation back to the officer. The catalog identifies the commander as Kurt Meyer.

A second miniature interpretation
The release description calls this King & Country’s second version of Meyer, following an earlier figure in a limited set. Here the emphasis is on giving instructions to an NCO rather than on a solitary portrait.
The two men’s different headgear and postures help the scene read at a glance. Their camouflage clothing links them to the accompanying 12th SS Normandy subjects, while the pointing arm supplies the principal action.
The war-crimes conviction belongs in the account
The Canadian War Museum preserves the proceedings of Meyer’s December 1945 trial. Its record describes his conviction for inciting denial of quarter and responsibility for killings of Canadian prisoners at the Abbaye Ardenne. His death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment.
A catalog entry for a named commander needs that history as well as the miniature’s uniform and pose. The familiar “Panzer Meyer” title should not reduce him to a battlefield celebrity detached from his responsibility for crimes.
A conversation that can be displayed clearly
Give the pointing arm open space and keep the NCO close enough for the exchange to remain obvious. A low map table or visible route can support the command scene, but neither is included in the reference pair.
When comparing an example, check both figures and the officer’s extended hand. The release’s collecting interest lies in the two-person composition and its place within the 2010 Normandy group. Its historical value depends on keeping the complete record attached to the recognizable name, including the trial that followed the campaign.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS173 product record lists a release date of September 2010 and a retirement date of September 2013. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
