The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS169
Two prone soldiers stretch across the ground in WS169. One aims his rifle while the other raises an arm in a silent signal. A Panzerfaust lies beside the firing figure, adding a second kind of weapon to the low, elongated scene.

The gesture makes the pair
The two figures are doing different things even though both remain low. The rifleman looks outward along the weapon; the other soldier communicates with men outside the set. That raised arm is the small feature that turns two prone figures into a connected group.
The equipment on their backs and the long rifle give the reference image much of its texture. Seen from a slight side angle, the gap beneath the signaling arm is easier to read than it is in a straight overhead photograph.
More than one weapon in the position
The catalog explicitly draws attention to the Panzerfaust beside the rifleman. It is part of the set’s visual inventory, rather than a separate tank or artillery piece. The presence of different infantry weapons gives a collector a reason to look beyond the most prominent rifle.
Within the Normandy subjects of the 12th SS division, such equipment belongs to a particular combat setting. The small group does not establish an exact village, date or named encounter on its own.
Keep the signal above the scenery
A shallow depression, low bank or broken ground can help frame the pair. High walls are less useful because they hide the raised hand and turn both figures into anonymous shapes behind cover.
I would position a moving figure where it can appear to respond to the signal, leaving the rifleman’s direction separate. The result is a scene with communication as well as firing. For a secondhand set, compare both men and the additional weapon against the reference photograph. WS169 is appealing because the small gesture and the nearby equipment reward a closer look after the overall prone composition has already caught the eye.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS169 product record lists a release date of September 2010 and a retirement date of June 2013. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
