The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS167
WS167 puts two men close to the ground, but gives them different directions of attention. One watches forward behind his MP40; the other turns and raises a hand toward his mouth. The pair suggests a conversation stretching beyond the two bases.

Action without standing up
The catalog describes one grenadier calling for reinforcements while his companion covers the front. In the reference image, the raised elbow and turned head make the caller easy to distinguish from the lower, forward-looking man.
The camouflaged clothing and equipment tie them together, while their different postures keep the scene readable. Their low height also makes them useful beside a ditch, a bank or the edge of a defensive position.
The familiar nickname needs a correction
Older collector descriptions often call the MP40 a “Schmeisser.” The National Army Museum’s MP40 entry explains that this familiar name is erroneous. Using the proper designation in a collection record makes it easier to compare releases and real weapon references.
On these figures, the compact weapon contrasts with the longer rifles carried by neighboring infantry subjects. The difference is visible without needing to turn the article into a technical weapons guide.
The space behind the caller
I would leave an open route behind the man who is signaling. A nearby moving figure can then appear to respond to him, while the second man remains focused toward the front. That simple arrangement gives the scene two connected directions.
The release belongs to the 12th SS Normandy group and should be labeled within that wartime context. As a miniature composition, its attraction is the division of attention between two men sharing a position. Check both MP40s, the raised hand and the separate bases when assessing a secondhand set; a single surviving figure loses much of the conversation that defines WS167.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS167 product record lists a release date of September 2010 and a retirement date of June 2013. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
