The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS112
WS112 steps down from standing to kneeling to prone. The three figures create a graduated outline, with a compact automatic weapon at the top, a shouldered rifle in the middle and a low gunner at ground level.

The group is arranged vertically
The saved reference photograph makes the height changes especially clear. Camouflage smocks and covered helmets tie the men together, while their weapon positions distinguish the roles.
The original archived text supplies only the Open Fire title. It does not name the men, their division or a specific engagement, so the photograph is the main guide to the sculpted composition.
The prone figure changes the footprint
A standing man uses little shelf depth; a prone figure needs room along the ground. This set therefore occupies more space than its three helmets might suggest from a cropped listing image.
Keep the lowest figure visible at the front of a display. A high scenic edge can hide him almost completely and make the original three-man set appear to contain only two figures.
Camouflage without losing the shapes
The grey trousers create quieter areas beneath the patterned clothing. Small brown equipment accents help separate hands, belts and carried items from the smocks.
A front-quarter view lets the standing and kneeling weapons remain recognizable, while a slightly higher angle reveals more of the prone figure. Both views are useful when documenting a complete example.
Its place among the 2008 infantry releases
WS110 concentrates on two riflemen, while WS111 uses observation and a pointing gesture. WS112 supplies the clearest sequence of three firing heights.
The WS series history gives these anonymous figures their broader context. Within that collection, the release is useful for its layered composition and the way it can fill foreground and background with one coherent group. Additional scenery should support those differences rather than bury them.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS112 product record lists a release date of April 2008 and a retirement date of October 2011. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
