The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS096-01

The camouflage-covered helmet is the identifying detail in the archived title of WS096-01. Beneath it, the soldier walks with a rifle slung over his shoulder, carrying the familiar equipment of an infantryman on the move.

The archive is brief but the code is real

Sager’s record labels the camouflage-helmet version but provides no descriptive paragraph. The code also appears among the retirements in Sierra’s March 2012 newsletter, providing a second contemporary catalog reference.

The saved photograph used for the base WS096 listing already shows a camouflage helmet too. That image overlap means the two dealer records cannot, by themselves, prove every physical difference between the original and suffixed offerings.

A marching pose gives the equipment room

The rifle is carried vertically behind the shoulder, while one hand steadies the strap. The opposite arm swings away from the torso, helping the body read as walking rather than standing at attention.

The lighter trousers and ankle area contrast with the green-gray upper clothing. The helmet pattern adds a smaller patch of variation at the top.

Movement without a firing scene

This is a useful subject for looking at the ordinary act of traveling with personal equipment. It can join a column or a roadside group without requiring a battlefield action to explain the posture.

The related marching officer WS095 provides a different rank and silhouette. Each figure remains a separate release, so a group photograph should preserve the individual codes.

WS096-01 belongs in the catalog because the suffixed record is documented and its title identifies the helmet treatment. The most useful collecting evidence is an actual figure photographed alongside its labeled box, especially where online archives reuse the same reference image under more than one code.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS096-01 product record lists a retirement date of March 2012. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
