The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS095
A forward step and naturally swinging arm do most of the work in WS095. The German officer is moving, but the sculpt avoids the dramatic lean of an assault pose.

A walking figure with field equipment
The helmet and binoculars keep the man visually connected to field service. Small equipment shapes at the belt break up the tunic, while the advancing leg creates a gap that gives the stance its sense of movement.
The archived announcement describes the figure in confident terms, but a miniature cannot tell us an unnamed officer’s actual thoughts. The visible evidence is a steady marching posture and the equipment he carries.
The stride sets the spacing
Place the figure so that there is room ahead of the leading foot. A wall immediately in front of him can make the movement look accidental, while an open path lets the eye continue in the direction of travel.
WS096 provides a related marching rifleman. Together they can suggest a small column, although the individual releases do not constitute a documented historical formation or a packaged multi-figure set.
Marching and command are different stories
Collectors often associate officers with pointing, maps or binoculars held to the eyes. A simple walking pose offers another possibility: a man moving between locations rather than visibly issuing an order.
That makes the figure useful around a parked vehicle or along the edge of a larger display. It connects separate areas without demanding to become the scene’s central event.
The WS prefix and the represented service
The range contains German army subjects alongside Waffen-SS releases, as the series overview explains. This entry retains its manufacturer code while using the Wehrmacht category for the army-style subject.
WS095 belongs in the collection as a straightforward movement study. Its modest gesture is the interesting part: equipment, posture and empty space can communicate a journey without a large supporting cast.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS095 product record lists a release date of March 2007 and a retirement date of March 2012. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
