The product series and historical identity should both remain searchable. These figures are described as Wehrmacht in the source, even though their code belongs to the WS range.

The WS series overview explains the broader collection and wartime context. No named engagement is attached to this particular group in the short release record.

Direction comes from more than the weapons

The pointing arm connects the viewer’s attention to the kneeling rifleman. The lower moving figures add activity without all being placed in the same firing posture.

A slight stagger across the display helps retain those differences. A straight row would hide some of the smaller gestures behind the taller men.

Why record all four?

WS039’s identity rests in its original selection of figures. Separating them into a larger diorama is a collecting choice, but keeping the group photograph prevents that arrangement from being forgotten.
