King & Country WH063 Artillery Officer: The Human Direction Behind the Gun Line

The officer’s part in the composition

The archived description identifies an artillery officer issuing instructions. In the reference photograph, his stance and paperwork set him apart from the crewmen carrying shells and equipment.

That difference is useful visually. A display can show several people engaged in related work instead of repeating the same carrying pose around a gun.

Part of a sequence, sold separately

WH062 is the howitzer. WH064 and WH065 supply the initial two-man gun-crew groups, while WH073 adds further personnel.

WH063 has its own code within that sequence. Keeping the officer’s entry separate makes it easier to reconstruct which pieces are present in a complete display or an offered collection.

Why the raised foot matters

The box changes the outline and keeps the pose from feeling like a formal standing portrait. A front-quarter view shows the document, leg and support together.

WH063 belongs as the command element of a larger artillery story. It can organize a group around a gun, while its distinctive stance remains recognizable when the figure is shown on its own.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WH063 product record lists a release date of September 2016 and a retirement date of May 2021. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
