King & Country WH023 Kettenkrad and Trailer: Half Motorcycle, Half Tracked Tractor

A wartime encounter preserved on film

An Imperial War Museums film record describes British engineers examining an abandoned Kettenkrad whose front wheel had been shot away. It offers a real wartime reference for the unusual machine, separate from the intact miniature.

That distinction is useful: the historical vehicle type is documented, while this model is a representative collecting subject rather than a reconstruction of that damaged example.

Show the combination from an angle

A three-quarter view reveals the front wheel, track run and trailer together. Seen directly from the front, much of the tracked body and trailer can disappear behind the rider.

Give the whole combination enough room to remain legible. It can suggest a supply or transport scene without requiring a larger fighting vehicle alongside.

The trailer changes the collecting checklist

Ask for a photograph of the connection area and both trailer wheels, as well as the main vehicle. Compare the driver and projecting fittings with the saved reference image.

WH023 brings a different approach to military mobility into the collection. The unusual shape invites a closer look, and the included trailer makes the practical transport role easier to understand.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WH023 product record lists July 2015 as the release date and April 2022 as the retirement date. Those are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
