King & Country · Napoleonic · NA087
NA087 builds a three-figure encounter around Sergeant Charles Ewart and the standard of the French 45th Line. It is a compact way to explore both a battlefield capture and the later memory created around it.

Distinguish the artifact from the reconstruction
The saved K&C photograph shows a cocked hat on the mounted figure. Preserve that observation in collection records, and check campaign dress independently if historical uniform accuracy is the priority. The set represents a named event, but its arrangement of bodies and equipment is an artist’s reconstruction. It is also important not to confuse the 45th’s eagle with the separate French 105th eagle captured at Waterloo.
Completeness changes the meaning
Check all three figures, the standard, its finial and each visible weapon against the reference. A mounted Ewart sold alone loses the opposition that makes this release distinctive. Ask for photographs of both flag faces and the attachment points near the hands. The set is most rewarding when displayed with a short explanation of why flags mattered to military identity and why later generations kept retelling the capture, rather than only labelling it as a dramatic cavalry action.
