King & Country · Napoleonic · NA083
NA083 combines a pale mount with a richly painted standard. The cloth supplies the strongest block of colour above the rider and makes this an immediately recognisable centrepiece for the early K&C Scots Greys group.

The reference is part of the record
The catalog listing identifies the code as a Scots Grey standard bearer. The saved photograph shows a cocked hat with a tall pale plume, a red coat and a blue standard. Record those visible features rather than silently substituting the bearskin headgear familiar from Waterloo paintings. A product identification and a claim of exact campaign-uniform accuracy are separate questions.
Three different cavalry jobs
A standard bearer, a directing officer and a musician make a small cavalry group more varied in function as well as appearance. NA084’s bugler is a particularly useful comparison: one figure communicates through a visible symbol, the other through sound. Neither needs to be placed at the very front of a charging mass to have a clear purpose. Leave space around the staff so its height reads naturally.
An identification checklist worth keeping
Compare both faces of the standard, the finial, the rider’s headgear and the saddle furniture with the saved reference. Ask for a close photograph of the staff where it meets the hand, since a repair there can tilt the entire upper composition. Inspect the horse’s supporting legs and tail too. For a strict Waterloo reconstruction, check the uniform against period references before treating the retailer’s series grouping as sufficient evidence. For a catalog of K&C production, preserve what this specific release actually depicts.
