King & Country · Napoleonic · NA046
The raised arm is the first thing to notice on NA046. The French dragoon is preparing a downward sword action, with the rider’s upper body supplying a different rhythm from the forward-pointing charge of NA041.

A close-range cavalry subject
This is a figure for the moment when the rider is already near an opponent. It does not read as a distant reconnaissance patrol or a quiet escort. Use the sword’s direction to organize the space around the horse. An open patch beside the model helps the viewer understand the intended action without needing two figures to physically touch.
The dragoon uniform remains the anchor
The helmet and green-and-white uniform connect NA046 to the related line dragoons. The Fondation Napoléon’s helmet reference explains the distinctive crest and neck protection associated with the type. Those features are useful when sorting loose cavalry figures whose sellers have lost the code.
Give the upper half clear space
Check the shelf height above the sword and the plume, not just above the rider’s head. In a listing, inspect the blade, wrist, reins and the horse’s base connections. NA045 is a particularly informative companion because it changes the weapon while retaining the mounted-combat setting. The pair can explain more than two copies of the same sword pose.
