King & Country · Napoleonic · NA044
NA044 is a compact battlefield incident: a fallen horse with its dragoon caught beneath it, still holding a damaged sword. The model makes the vulnerability of cavalry visible in a way an upright rider cannot.

The broken sword is intentional
The source description explicitly includes a broken sword. That is essential buying information. A short blade should be compared with the reference sculpt before being treated as a fault. At the same time, an intentionally damaged weapon does not mean every chip or missing projection on a used example belongs to the original composition.
The viewpoint is unusually important
A low side view reveals the rider’s relationship to the horse, while a higher angle helps explain the arrangement on the base. Displaying the piece behind standing horses hides most of its story. It works better toward the front of a shelf with enough empty space for the viewer to recognize the fallen animal’s shape.
Inspect the composition as a whole
Look at the horse’s exposed legs, the rider’s arm, the sword and the contact points with the ground. Ask for the underside or base edges if repairs are suspected. Keep the full reference image in the collection record; isolated close-ups of the rider can make it difficult to judge whether all parts of this deliberately tangled composition are present.
