The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS376

WS376 stands with his rifle held low across the front, leaving the face and chest visible. There is no dramatic stride or firing gesture; the figure’s value is the pause.

Waiting has several possible readings

The manufacturer suggests guard duty or observation from a protected position. Those are alternative interpretations of the stance, rather than two documented events represented by the same man.

The lowered weapon leaves the figure attentive without committing him to an immediate shot. That makes him a useful comparison with the more tightly directed action poses in the HJSS group.

The uniform carries much of the detail

The patterned jacket contrasts with gray trousers and a plain helmet. Equipment and straps cross the torso, while the rifle creates a diagonal through the otherwise upright silhouette.

A front-quarter view keeps the face, weapon and belt area visible. A direct rear view is useful for equipment, but does little to explain the quiet stance.

Give a still figure room to be noticed

One standing man beside a vehicle or entrance can be more readable than the same figure buried in a large firing group. The surrounding empty space lets the restrained pose remain the subject.

The model belongs to King & Country’s Normandy 12th SS subjects, an institutional affiliation that should stay in its historical description. The individual is unnamed.

WS376 contains one soldier on the scenic base shown. The rifle, clothing and base define the release without any additional building or vehicle.

When checking a secondhand example, look for the low two-handed rifle hold and this exact uniform combination. A broad title such as “standing SS soldier” can encompass many different releases in the range.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS376 product record lists a release date of April 2023. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
