King & Country WS277 Smoking General: A Listening Figure in a Command Group

Look at the restrained hands

The cigarette hand stays close to the body while the pocketed arm produces a settled outline on the opposite side. The soft cap keeps the head lower and less bulky than a steel helmet would.

The red stripe along the trousers is one of the smaller details that helps the figure stand apart from ordinary infantry.

A command scene can remain compact

Place the map officer slightly to one side, with the map facing the general. WS279’s binoculars and WS280’s security role can widen the group without making every figure perform the same action.

Those are separate releases, so WS277 is the individual general alone.

The figure belongs in the catalog as a listening senior officer whose character comes from stillness. For identification, keep the cap, cigarette gesture, pocketed hand and trouser stripe visible together; those features distinguish the sculpt from other standing commanders.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS277 product record lists a release date of March 2014 and a retirement date of June 2021. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
