The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD322
DD322 bends into a run, one hand near his helmet and the other carrying a medical bag. The red-cross markings identify the task, but the body’s movement is what makes the figure feel urgent.

Medical personnel shared the danger
The 2nd Ranger Battalion medical detachment’s 1945 history records that four medics landed with one Omaha force and three were hospitalized with serious wounds. It also describes the work of the ambulance driver who came ashore with the first vehicles.
Those details give the running medic a historical context beyond a familiar red-cross symbol. DD322 is not identified as one of those named or unnamed individuals; the report explains the work and risks represented by the subject.
The bag gives the run a destination
King & Country describes a Ranger medic moving to help a wounded comrade. The rectangular bag distinguishes him from the riflemen, while the hand near the helmet helps the sculpt suggest hurried movement.
The casualty is not included in this single-figure release. A wounded figure can complete an arrangement, but belongs to its own set code.
From an individual figure to a medical sequence
DD317 supplies American casualties at several body heights. A vehicle or treatment group can then extend the scene from first assistance toward evacuation.
The medic’s direction should remain legible. Placing him where the bag and face can be seen gives the action more meaning than hiding him behind a larger vehicle.
DD322 belongs in the collection because it makes care an active part of the assault story. The figure is moving toward someone, and the equipment tells the viewer why.
The bag, helmet gesture and bent running body are the three features to preserve in an identification photograph.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD322 product record lists a release date of July 2019. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
