The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS224-1

The commander standing above the small turret immediately distinguishes WS224-1 from its two numbered companions. This is tank 201, finished in dusty gray, with the three-quarter-body crew figure included in the release.

A Czech design enters German service

The Military History Institute in Prague traces the LT vz. 38 to Czechoslovak trials and a 1938 order. None had entered a Czechoslovak Army unit when occupation intervened; the unfinished tanks passed to the Wehrmacht.

That background gives the German-marked miniature a history beyond its paint scheme. The vehicle’s design origin and its wartime operator are different parts of the same story.

The small details define the tank

The compact turret, conspicuous fasteners and four large road wheels on each side make the 38(t) visibly different from the larger German tanks around it. Dust collects visually around the running gear and lower hull.

The red-outlined number 201 is the quickest way to identify this version. The figure above the hatch is the second essential check.

Read both the suffix and the turret number

WS224-2 represents 202 without a commander; WS224-3 represents 204, also without one. The product suffix and the number painted on the model are separate identifiers and do not form one continuous sequence.

Some catalog imports shortened this release to WS224 and moved the -1 into the title. This entry restores the complete WS224-1 code so the commander version can be found reliably.

The manufacturer’s broad early-war setting does not establish an individual tank’s service biography. What this release firmly offers is the gray 201 interpretation, its visible surface details and the included commander that completes the model’s occupied silhouette.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS224-1 product record lists a release date of May 2013. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
