King & Country DD298 Don’t Cry: A Nurse’s Attention Turns Toward a Child

The manufacturer identifies comfort, not a diagnosis

King & Country describes a nurse comforting a French girl and connects the pair with the Shannon set and medical jeep. The release does not specify a particular injury, family loss or documented incident.

The title and gesture are enough to establish distress and reassurance. The catalog does not need to invent what has happened to the child in order to explain the scene.

A different medical subject

DD292 concentrates on a wounded GI receiving attention. DD298 broadens the collection by placing a civilian child beside the same general nursing role.

DD293’s jeep can provide a transport backdrop, while DD299’s tent suggests a treatment area. Neither is required for the two-figure vignette to make sense on its own.

The nurse’s kneeling height is the useful compositional detail: it brings the adult and child into direct contact rather than leaving the girl beneath a towering standing figure.

Let the bear and faces stay visible

A quiet background preserves the small objects and reaching hands. Too many surrounding military figures can overwhelm the pair’s close interaction.

DD298 earns its place by showing care beyond the uniformed casualty. The teddy bear, colorful clothing and lowered nurse create a distinct civilian encounter within the wider DD medical collection.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD298 product record lists a release date of December 2016. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability.
