The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS210

Three-color camouflage breaks up the sloping panels of WS210, changing the appearance of the compact Sd.Kfz. 222 from the gray version cataloged as WS209. The mesh turret cover, small wheels and angled nose remain the familiar structural features.

The camouflage makes the surfaces more visible

The pattern crosses separate armor plates, drawing attention to the hull’s changes of angle. Smaller fittings and carried equipment interrupt the painted areas around the front and sides.

A front-quarter view shows those surfaces together while preserving the low turret. From directly above, the vehicle can look broader and flatter than its normal display silhouette.

Normandy is the release identity

King & Country titles this version for Normandy and describes it as suitable for later-war scenes from 1943 onward. That is the manufacturer’s collecting context, not a specific unit assignment or an identified combat record for the model.

The distinction is useful when building a catalog. A theater label can guide a display while still leaving the exact vehicle history unclaimed.

Compare the two 222 releases closely

WS209’s gray finish and WS210’s camouflage provide a straightforward study in how paint changes the same broad vehicle type. The mesh upper structure and four-wheel layout offer fixed points for the comparison.

Do not rely on a generic armored-car listing to establish which release is being offered. The complete code, finish and actual photographs work together.

In a small scene, the 222 can sit alongside standing infantry without overwhelming them. Give the top opening and antenna space, and keep at least one clear view of the angular nose.

WS210’s place in the collection is the camouflaged Normandy interpretation of a compact reconnaissance vehicle. Its strong shape and modest footprint make the paint and turret details particularly rewarding to inspect.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS210 product record lists a release date of October 2014. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
