The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS191

The man in WS191 walks beside his bicycle rather than riding it. Two Panzerfausts stand along the front of the machine, turning an ordinary means of transport into a visible equipment carrier.

The coat keeps the militia appearance clear

A mustard-brown coat, helmet and armband give the figure a mixed civilian-and-military appearance. A rifle rises behind his shoulder while the bicycle adds a second set of long, narrow shapes beside him.

The loaded machine is central to the release. It is not simply a scenic bicycle placed near an unrelated standing soldier.

A useful reminder of how equipment moved

The bicycle’s wheels promise mobility, but the walking pose makes its load especially noticeable. The man guides the handlebars while the weapons remain attached ahead of him.

The manufacturer identifies the subject as Volkssturm without giving a named unit or location. The mixed clothing and improvised transport fit the collecting theme of late-war mobilization, while the exact journey remains unspecified.

Compare the younger bicycle carrier

WS192 pairs a Hitler Youth figure with another loaded bicycle. Seen together, the two releases repeat the transport idea while changing the clothing, age and color arrangement.

That makes a more informative comparison than treating both as generic German cyclists. Neither figure is shown pedaling; the carried equipment and the person guiding it are the points of interest.

The wheels need to stay visible

A side-quarter view reveals the bicycle frame, load and walking figure together. A head-on angle can collapse the narrow machine into the body and conceal much of the sculpt.

When comparing examples, look at both wheels, the handlebars and the projecting equipment. The fine outlines are part of the set’s identity.

WS191 adds everyday transport to the final-war collection. The combination of an older-looking militia figure and a weapon-laden bicycle gives the release a specific story without requiring a tank or a large battlefield scene.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS191 product record lists a release date of May 2011 and a retirement date of March 2014. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
