The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD282
The two tankers in DD282 are outside their vehicle, but their carried weapons give the pause a more watchful character than the coffee and meal scenes in the neighboring crew releases. One carries a Grease Gun and the other a Thompson.

The weapons distinguish the pair
The manufacturer identifies the two different submachine guns explicitly. Their contrasting shapes make a useful visual comparison within a compact two-man set, with the men’s equipment and headgear keeping the crew identity clear.
This is a dismounted crew group. It does not become a generic infantry pair simply because the men carry personal weapons on foot.
The Sherman is there to suggest a setting
The tank shown in the reference photograph is separate from DD282. Its presence helps demonstrate the relationship between the men and a vehicle, but the release being cataloged consists of the two figures.
When evaluating a listing, compare the men themselves with the reference rather than assuming that every object in the promotional scene is included. Their arms, weapons and carried items deserve photographs that are not hidden behind the hull.
Three releases, three kinds of pause
DD280 shows coffee, DD281 a meal and a stretch, and DD282 a more alert moment. Together they give the dismounted crew selection more variety than a repeated standing pose in different uniforms.
The armed men can occupy the edge of a vehicle display, where their outward attention remains readable. The eating and drinking figures can sit farther inside the same area if the intended scene is a broader break from vehicle duties.
A human frame for the armor
These figures help connect the machine to the people operating around it. Their interest lies in the combination of crew clothing, personal weapons and standing movement, without needing an invented account of a particular ambush or vehicle loss.
DD282 completes the numbered trio of crew sets with a distinct mood of its own: the men have stepped down, but their attention remains outside the tank.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD282 product record lists a release date of January 2016. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
