The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS153
One man carries two jerricans while his companion stands beside another can on the ground. WS153 makes the supplies around a tank visible, with fuel and water taking the place usually occupied by a raised weapon or a commander’s binoculars.

Two army crewmen with a practical job
The archived release description identifies both men as army Panzer personnel and the cans as fuel and water containers. Their black jackets connect them visually, while different trousers and head positions keep the pair from looking uniform.
The man holding the cans leans into their weight. His companion’s more relaxed stance gives the scene a pause, as though a conversation has interrupted a routine carrying job.
A small object with an international history
Imperial War Museums catalogs a wartime film titled Jerry Can in Great Demand. Its appeal to conserve army equipment makes an ordinary container the centre of a message about resources and waste.
That is a useful historical angle for WS153. The cans may occupy little space beside a model tank, yet they point toward the everyday supply work that keeps a vehicle collection from becoming only a row of machines.
Read the colours at ground level
The grey can beside the right-hand figure has a conspicuous pale cross. The two carried cans are darker, while the men’s trousers introduce field-grey and camouflage tones below the shared black jackets.
A photograph taken too high can hide the can at the standing man’s feet. A lower view keeps all three containers visible and makes the carrying pose easier to understand.
A useful scene before the engine starts
Place the pair near a parked army vehicle with enough clear ground around them for the cans to remain readable. A workshop wall or a few separate stores can develop the setting without swallowing the figures.
WS153 adds the human effort behind mechanized movement. Its collecting appeal comes from the two contrasting poses and the clearly identified supply role, making it a useful companion to both vehicles and other support figures.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS153 product record lists a release date of June 2010 and a retirement date of May 2012. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
