The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS145
The lighter horse makes WS145 stand out among the darker mounts nearby. Its rider holds a rifle upright and turns his attention to the right, creating a clear difference from the left-looking companion release.

The title needs its direction
Both WS145 and WS146 appear under the broad Cossack Holding Rifle description. The original text distinguishes this man by his rightward look.
Keeping that directional detail with the code helps identify loose figures and compare dealer photographs. The pair are complementary releases, not two catalog numbers for the same mounted sculpt.
A rifle and a lifted foreleg
The upright weapon adds a thin vertical line beside the rider. Below him, the horse’s lifted foreleg suggests a walking step rather than a rigid standing pose.
The pale brown coat, dark mane and small white markings give the horse a contrasting appearance beside WS146’s much darker animal. The saddle equipment adds another band of brown around the rider’s blue trousers.
The patrol’s history is more than its costume
The manufacturer places these Cossacks in German service during the Second World War. That allegiance belongs with the figure even when the fur cap and horse make the scene look reminiscent of an earlier cavalry age.
The related WS142 captive vignette and WS150 commander article explore the occupation and leadership context more directly. The WS series overview connects the group to the broader historical collection.
A pair that can look in different directions
Set the two riflemen slightly apart and their contrasting head positions become easy to see. Avoid a perfectly parallel line if it hides the horses’ legs or saddle equipment.
WS145 earns its place through the right-looking rider, upright rifle and lighter mount. Those are specific features worth recording, rather than reducing the release to a generic mounted Cossack.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS145 product record lists a release date of April 2010 and a retirement date of January 2012. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
