The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS136

One officer folds his arms while the other holds a large brown folder. WS136 builds a two-man headquarters scene from a conversation, with the paperwork giving the pair a reason to be standing together.

The ranks are given; the names are not

The release announcement identifies a Wehrmacht general conferring with his army adjutant. Neither is presented as a named historical personality.

That makes the group useful for showing a command relationship without placing a famous general at a meeting that never happened. The two men can remain anonymous while their roles stay clear.

The folder is the key accessory

Its broad brown cover creates a strong block of colour against the adjutant’s uniform. The general’s folded arms leave his chest visible and make him appear to be listening.

Red accents along the general’s trousers and collar help distinguish him from his companion. Their uncovered heads also create a different silhouette from a pair of helmeted field officers.

A headquarters can be suggested with very little

A table, doorway or parked staff car can supply a setting. The figures themselves already establish the interaction, so a full building is optional.

Angle them toward one another rather than directly at the viewer. Their faces and the folder then form a small focus of attention, making the scene read as an exchange rather than two portraits placed side by side.

The army behind the equipment

The WS historical catalog includes Wehrmacht vehicles and support figures as well as Waffen-SS subjects. This army command pair belongs within that broader manufacturer range.

WS136 adds planning and administration to a collection often dominated by the visible end results of orders. The interest lies in the restrained gestures, the different ranks and the folder that connects the two men.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WS136 product record lists a release date of July 2009 and a retirement date of January 2012. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
