The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD209
The wounded GI in DD209 leans heavily on a medic, with his arm across the other man’s shoulders. The pair’s uneven posture makes the act of support immediately visible.

The destination is outside the sculpt
The archived announcement describes the medic helping the casualty toward an aid station. No medical building is supplied, and the figures are not identified as participants in a named incident.
The important relationship is already present: one man cannot move comfortably on his own, and the other is helping him leave the battlefield.
Colour separates the two men
Red-cross markings on the medic’s helmet and armband identify his role. The casualty’s bandages and stained clothing add a different kind of visual detail, while the joined shoulders keep the pair connected.
A gentle front-quarter angle lets the viewer see both faces. Turning the group too far can hide the wounded man behind his helper and weaken the scene’s central point.
Movement away from the fighting
In a larger display, place the pair so that their route leads toward a quieter area. A clear path in front communicates their purpose more effectively than surrounding them with additional firing figures.
The adjacent DD210 release presents treatment at ground level. Together, the two sets can suggest different stages of care, although they do not depict a documented sequence involving the same patient.
Why the medical figures matter
The DD series history includes the human cost of the Allied campaign as well as its equipment and operations. A rescue subject makes that cost tangible within the collection.
DD209 does not need a dramatic vehicle or elaborate scenery to hold attention. The close contact between the figures supplies the entire story. It belongs in the catalog as a medical and support subject whose emotional weight comes from a simple act of assistance.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD209 product record lists a release date of May 2013 and a retirement date of February 2014. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
