King & Country DD116 Cromwell Mk IV: British Reconnaissance Armour with a Meteor Connection

The Welsh Guards interpretation

The archived release identifies the markings with the Welsh Guards of the Guards Armoured Division. It places the subject in the Normandy campaign after the initial landing.

The catalog keeps that formation and timing distinct from the British infantry coming ashore on Sword Beach on 6 June.

The two crew and the removable load

The product record specifies two figures and a detachable pack of supplies. The saved photo shows how the rear load changes the outline above the engine deck.

A relatively bare example may have its load stored separately, so compare all the offered parts before deciding whether the appearance reflects a different release.

Why this Cromwell belongs

DD116 broadens the British collection beyond infantry and American-built tanks. The vehicle’s national design, regimental markings and optional stowage all give it a distinct catalog identity.

A front-quarter reference keeps the crew, turret and hull visible together, while a rear view is useful for recording the separate supplies.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD116 product record lists a release date of July 2009 and a retirement date of November 2011. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
