The officer does more than point

The archived description identifies the officer with a pistol and map. His greatcoat gives him a distinctive outline beside the other figures.

The sergeant supplies the extended gesture, while the MG42 gunner carries the weapon and ammunition. The rifleman completes the original combination.

The machine gun and ammunition create a busy silhouette on one figure. The officer’s longer clothing and smaller hand-held objects create a quieter one.

A slightly staggered arrangement keeps the map, pointing arm and weapons visible rather than allowing the taller men to hide each other.

Why this patrol belongs separately

WS050 records a particular combination of leadership and infantry roles. Its camouflage and clothing connect it visually with the surrounding releases, but the exact four figures remain distinct.

The Waffen-SS setting should remain attached to the wider historical account on the series page. The miniature can be examined for its design and collecting identity without turning an anonymous patrol into an invented heroic episode.
