The Operation ToyBox catalog · WS037
WS037 gives the six-wheeled Krupp truck an open load bed, supplies and three figures. Its grey finish makes the vehicle look familiar, but the archived description assigns a specific and difficult identity to the passengers.
The figures named in the original release
The product record specifies an SS driver and two seated Hitler Youth riflemen. It also identifies the markings with the 2nd SS Division, Das Reich.
Those are details of the manufacturer’s offering. The catalog does not treat the combination as proof of a particular photographed transport movement.
Youth service needs historical context
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum explains the Nazi youth organizations’ role in indoctrination and preparation for war. Describing young passengers merely as eager volunteers would miss that larger system.
The Waffen-SS identity also belongs within the history of the organization’s participation in Nazi crimes, discussed in the WS series overview.
The open truck body
The saved photograph shows the seated men raised above the sides of the load bed. Supplies occupy the vehicle without hiding the passengers, while the driver remains visible in the open cab.
A front-quarter angle keeps all three figures readable together.
Why a truck belongs beside the armour
Transport adds movement and supply to a collection otherwise dominated by weapons. WS037 is particularly worth recording accurately because its original figure combination carries historical meaning beyond the vehicle type.
Compare the driver, two passengers and load details together when identifying an example.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived WS037 product record lists a release date of March 2002 and a retirement date of November 2003. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
