The Operation ToyBox catalog · DD106
DD106 seats Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin together, using three very different styles of dress to make the leaders individually recognizable. The compact group moves the DD catalog from the battlefield to Allied diplomacy.

The Yalta setting
The leaders met in Crimea from 4 to 11 February 1945. The US State Department’s historical account describes discussions about the remaining war and the shape of the postwar settlement.
Victory in Europe was approaching, while the war against Japan remained a major concern. The seated group belongs to that late-war moment, rather than the planning of the Normandy landing.
Three visual identities
The archived release identifies Churchill in RAF uniform, Stalin in Soviet military dress and Roosevelt under a naval boat cloak. The photograph shows how those clothing choices distinguish the figures even within a shared seated arrangement.
The chairs also create an unusually still composition for a range so often concerned with movement and machinery.
The photograph is only the surface
The apparent unity of the group should not make the decisions seem simple or their consequences uncontested. The conference dealt with interests that extended far beyond the three men in the picture.
A collection display can use the set to introduce those questions rather than treat it only as a gathering of famous personalities.
Why this trio belongs together
The original release is the three-leader combination. Separating the figures into individual portraits loses the shared historical moment that gives DD106 its identity.
Keep enough space to see the chairs and different uniforms; those details are part of the set’s visual argument.
Release record and collecting notes
Sager’s archived DD106 product record lists a release date of July 2012 and a retirement date of August 2016. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
