King & Country DD102 Fusilier Marins Officer: The Naval Identity Beside Leclerc’s Armour

The binoculars stay low

Unlike an observer with the glasses raised to his eyes, this figure leaves the face visible. The hands and binoculars form a small focal point at the front of the jacket.

That gives him a waiting or assessing presence without establishing a particular action in the release record.

A separate companion to the M10

DD101 includes its own three crew figures. DD102 is an additional single-figure release, and should not be counted as a missing fourth crewman from the vehicle’s box.

Keeping that distinction clear is useful when comparing photographs of complete displays with original catalog contents.

Why the officer earns his own entry

The figure helps connect the vehicle markings with the people serving in the formation. He also gives a small French display a standing focal point at ground level, separate from the men arranged aboard the armour.

The source names no individual officer, so the catalog retains the representative title.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD102 product record lists a release date of December 2008. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
