King & Country DD095 The Rescue: One Soldier Reaches Back for Another

A casualty changes the story

Many infantry sets concentrate on men moving or firing. Here the immediate purpose is to help someone who can no longer keep up under his own power.

The wounded figure lies low, while his companion bends and reaches back. Their different positions make the strain visible without needing a large surrounding battle scene.

Give the relationship room

The saved photograph shows how the two bodies connect across the ground. A display should leave that connection clear rather than hiding the casualty behind a vehicle or high bank.

The set can sit beside other Big Red One releases, but it also works as a small reflective vignette on its own.

Why it belongs in the catalog

DD095 adds care and vulnerability to the range’s account of combat. Recording it separately preserves that subject and helps collectors identify the original two-man combination when figures have been removed from their box.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived DD095 product record lists a release date of May 2008 and a retirement date of April 2011. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
