The model does not identify a named unit or firing position. Its specific subject is the two-man team and equipment shown in the reference image.

Placed near a slight rise in the ground, the figures can remain visible without needing a large wall or bunker. Tall foreground scenery risks hiding both men and leaving only the barrel in view.

The covered helmet of the gunner and the different position of the assistant help separate the two figures visually.

Why retain the exact code?

The WH range later revisits the MG42 with men carrying the weapon and with a different fixed mounting. WH077 is this prone bipod-mounted team.

Keeping the pose and mounting in the catalog description makes those releases easier to distinguish when their short titles look almost identical.
