The Operation ToyBox catalog · WH075

The large tube across WH075’s shoulder dominates the figure. A protective shield beside the soldier’s face and the ammunition box under his bent leg distinguish the pose from a rifleman.

A historical connection worth correcting

The Smithsonian’s Panzerschreck record connects its development with captured American bazookas. The German weapon enlarged the concept, and the later shielded version addressed the blast near the operator.

That is more informative than the older retail description’s broad claim about German pioneering. Equipment history often involves adaptation of an opponent’s design.

The shield gives the model its profile

The reference photograph shows the yellow-painted launcher and shield clearly against the darker uniform. A view from the side reveals why this figure occupies more space than an ordinary kneeling infantryman.

The box and bent leg are part of the pose’s composition. They also help identify WH075 when the figure is separated from its original packaging.

Different from the Panzerfaust release

WH076 depicts another infantry anti-tank subject, but the weapon and posture are quite different. Keeping the two names distinct makes both articles more useful for searching and comparison.

The WH series overview supplies the wider wartime context. This anonymous soldier is a representative equipment subject, not a named participant in a verified engagement.

Why this belongs in the infantry catalog

WH075 adds a specialist weapon and a distinctive shielded silhouette. It can introduce a history of design adaptation while remaining firmly identified as this particular King & Country figure.

Release record and collecting notes

Sager’s archived WH075 product record lists a release date of December 2017 and a retirement date of November 2021. These are catalog dates, rather than a statement about today’s secondhand availability. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
