WS018 gives the PaK 40 a three-man crew. The long barrel, protective shield and spread of the gun carriage create a substantial footprint, with the kneeling figures bringing the equipment into human scale.
The gun and crew form one release
The archived title specifies the anti-tank gun and three crewmen. The saved reference image shows them arranged around the breech and shield, with a long ammunition item visible between the men.
That is a more precise identity than “German gun crew.” Both the weapon and the original three poses belong in the comparison when inspecting a secondhand example.
A towed weapon changes the display
Unlike a tank, this set shows the working area around the gun in the open. The shield provides one face of the composition, while the carriage and crew occupy the space behind it.
The historical setting of the range is discussed in the WS catalog overview. The miniature itself is a representative equipment-and-crew subject rather than a named gun position.
Look from behind as well as in front
A front view emphasizes the shield and barrel but can hide the crew’s hands. An elevated rear-quarter angle reveals why the three figures are arranged as they are.
Give the carriage room so its projecting parts remain visible. A tight scenic enclosure can conceal much of the release.
The collecting interest is in the complete position
WS018 adds an artillery-scale subject without an enclosed vehicle hull. Its separate crew roles and long equipment lines reward careful viewing.
Compare the shield, barrel, carriage and all three men with the reference photograph. Missing figures can change the scene as much as missing gun fittings.

Sager’s archived WS018 product record identifies this release but leaves its release and retirement dates blank. Compare the seller’s actual photographs with the reference image here, including any projecting equipment and the base; a familiar box title alone is not a condition report.
