King & Country DD053 Commando Attack Group: The Bren Gun Anchors the Four Men

DD053 is a representative action group rather than a named four-man patrol reconstructed from a particular photograph. Its relationship to DD052’s command figures provides a useful collecting comparison.

Arrange around the lowest figure

Start with the prone gunner and leave his weapon visible, then stagger the higher figures behind and to either side. That preserves the changes in height already built into the set.

A low piece of cover can help frame the scene, but a high wall directly in front would hide the Bren and much of the gunner.

A practical addition to the British section

DD053 adds a supporting weapon and a set of contrasting actions to the commando collection. Its entry helps keep the original four poses identifiable when similar green-beret figures appear together in a mixed listing. Compare the full group rather than assuming that any four commandos make this release.
