Who operates this site

Operation ToyBox is an independent military-miniature collecting and history website operated by Vladimir M. This policy covers operationtoybox.com. For privacy questions or requests, email operation.toybox1@gmail.com. OTB Companion has its own privacy policy.

Information you provide

When you send a message, we receive the name, email address, message and any contact details you provide. The homepage contact form also asks how you prefer to be contacted; a phone number is requested when you choose a telephone, text-message or WhatsApp response. These details are used to handle your inquiry, corrections or collecting questions. Homepage messages are stored in a private WordPress inbox and sent to the site administrator by email.

The Contact page uses an embedded form provided by Jotform. Information submitted there is processed through that service as well as received by Operation ToyBox. Please see Jotform’s privacy policy. Do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for your inquiry.

Comments and forum posts may be public, along with the display name and any information you put into the post. Email addresses entered in the comment email field are not displayed as part of the comment. WordPress may collect your IP address and browser information for spam detection. If Gravatar is used, a hash derived from your email address may be sent to Automattic to check for a profile image; see Automattic’s privacy policy.

If you register an account, WordPress stores the profile information you provide and authentication information needed to manage access. Administrators can access account details for site administration. Please avoid uploading photographs with location metadata you do not wish to make public.

Technical information and service providers

Loading the site sends technical information such as your IP address, requested page, browser information and request time to our hosting and delivery providers. Hosting, security and performance services may use this information for delivery, diagnostics and abuse prevention. Our homepage contact form uses short-lived form tokens and hashed IP/email identifiers to limit automated submissions; those form controls are separate from public comments.

We use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit to understand visits and interactions with the site. Google may process page and device information, online identifiers and analytics cookies. Read how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google’s privacy policy. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Google advertising

The site integrates Google AdSense. Where ads are served, Google and other advertising partners may place and read cookies on your browser, use web beacons, and process IP addresses, device information or other identifiers to deliver and measure advertising, prevent fraud and, where permitted and consented to, personalize ads.

Google’s advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites. You can manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center and read about Google’s advertising technologies. Other participating companies offer choices through YourAdChoices. Advertising choices do not necessarily stop all ads.

Where a consent message is presented, use its controls to accept, reject or change the available choices. Browser cookie settings provide additional control, but blocking cookies can affect logins and other site functions. This privacy notice does not itself grant consent to optional advertising or analytics storage.

Affiliate links and embedded media

Operation ToyBox participates in the eBay Partner Network. Clicking an affiliate link takes you to eBay and includes tracking parameters that can attribute a qualifying purchase to this site. eBay processes activity on its service under its privacy notice. We do not receive your payment-card details from these links.

Pages may contain YouTube videos, reference images, third-party forms or other embedded content. Loading or interacting with an embed can send technical information to its provider; that provider may use cookies or associate activity with an account you hold there. Google’s policies linked above cover YouTube. Following an external link takes you to a service governed by its own policy.

Cookies and account functions

WordPress uses cookies for logins and account preferences. If you choose to save your details when commenting, comment cookies can retain your name, email and website for one year. Standard login cookies normally last two days, or two weeks when “Remember Me” is selected; logging out removes the login cookies. Other providers may use cookies for the purposes described above.

Retention and access

Published comments and their moderation metadata may be retained indefinitely to preserve discussions and manage follow-up comments. Registered account information is retained while the account is maintained. Contact messages remain in the private inbox and email correspondence until removed by the administrator; they are not currently subject to an automatic deletion schedule. Hosting, analytics and advertising providers apply their own retention practices to information they process.

Access to private contact and account information is limited to site administration and the providers needed to operate the relevant service. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or needed to protect the site and its users. Providers may process information outside your country under their applicable privacy terms.

Your choices and requests

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by Operation ToyBox by emailing operation.toybox1@gmail.com. Identify the account, comment or correspondence involved without sending unnecessary sensitive documents. We may need to verify that a request relates to you. Some information may need to be retained for administrative, security or legal reasons. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, withdraw consent or complain to a data-protection authority.

This is a collector resource and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

Changes

We update this policy when the site’s services or data practices change. The revision date above identifies the latest version.
